    Sunshine soup.

It has pumpkin, sweet potato, carrots, potato, onions and garlic that is cooked in a veggie stock and blended until smooth.
A bright colored soup for a cool miserable day.

I picked up good barbecue in town and some potato salad from the Deli. After getting groceries I knew I wouldn’t feel like cooking.

A tip… for folks who might be in the south one day and order barbecue. Never ask for pulled pork, instead ask for “Slice Meat”. Most good barbecue joints will have both. Both are from pork shoulder.

Pulled pork dries out faster than slice meat. Tonight, I ordered “a pound of slice meat” to take home for sandwiches. It will still be moist on Monday. Pulled pork would dry out overnight.

Pulled pork is the term most people know and order. I’m even amazed at the number of southerners who don’t know the term “slice meat”.

We love both. I prefer pulled pork and just smoother it with Barbeque sauce. I've never had a problem with it drying out.

Enjoyed mail order Sizzlefish so much we are going to try out Sea To Table mail order wild caught Alaskan cod, sockeye salmon. Free shipping on orders over $85.00. Ours was $92.00. Delivered right to our house.
No way will we spend on factory raised meat where animals are tortured and live in filth when we can have fresh delivered in dry ice in 3 days cold water seafood.

    Sounds good.

No $92.00 for a months worth of meals. We use to spend more than that on meat. Fish every week for 5 weeks is not one meal.

OK, I take it back. You are getting a much better deal than I first surmised. It only just over $18 a meal and if that feeds two then it is a great deal. Here fresh fish is hard to get and it goes for between $8 and $14 a pound. I figure half a pound per person. The added cost of roasted reds and some veggies or a salad will bring the cost of a home cooked meal to between $4.50 and $7.50 per person. The labor is paid in love and friendship. At a restaurant you would pay between $20 and $30 for the same meal. (and at home you don't have to dress up) ;)

Liver and Onions. Much to the dogs' disgust, we do NOT share that! One of our favorites. M even demands liver gravy - I guarantee you won't find that in too many restaurants.
