Ok, now here's another 1911 handgun that I definitely will be looking for.
This little jewel will be at the top of my wish list.

Rock Island 1911's are really fine shooters and darn good quality too.

If I can find one ,I will buy this, as I'm a big fan of the .22 WMR round anyway.

Rock Island, aka Armscor, makes a quality product. Every generation seems to be a bit better than the last. They also make 1911 frames and slide for some other brand name gun makers. I have often times looked at their proprietary .22tcm / 9mm mid sized 1911, but I just have not made the leap yet. The .22 Tuason Craig Micromagnum is essentially a short bottleneck 5.56mm that shoots out of a handgun.

This is one of the places I use to search for guns of interest: www.gunwatcher.com

Trouble most semi auto 22mag guns have is getting the brass out correctly without a stove pipe or jam. Plus for what they want for 22mag now it's not worth it. 325 rounds of 22LR go for $23 but 50 rounds of 22mag runs $14 at stores around Ohio. I have one gun which shoots 22mag but it also shoots 22lr and 22 shorts. Plus it is unlikely that I'd run thru 100 rounds in an hours shooting.

    $24 /100.

I cant recall where I seen them for $44/200.

Thats the lowest I seen them in several years...most time they be 31 cents a round.

I just saw Winchester Super X 22 mag at Wally World for less than 10 bucks/50. I'm cool with that price. I don't plink with 22 mag so I don't shoot that many rounds. A few for practice now and then, and the rest go out of the barrel with a purpose.

One of my favorite .22 shooters was a High Standard with the interchangable 5" or 7 1/2 barrel. It was a delight to shoot and plink with. Problem is finding one, (preferably an older one) that you don't have to pay and arm and a leg for. Back in the day you could find and expensive one for about $300.00 and that was big bucks. Today I rarely see any of them around. Should you get the chance and run across one, by all means grab it. You will never regret your decision.

There was a RIA 22 TCM/ 9mm at the Grants Pass Bi-Mart, it's one of those membership only general stores ,but they have an awesome gun department with very good prices, except for that RIA pistol, I think it was listed at around $649.00, $27 for a box of .22 TCM ammo and the salesman told me that Armscor was the only one making the ammo.

I had several Winchester SuperX 22WMR cases rupture, split down the side. Fired from a Marlin 882SS. Got the squirrels, but had to use a cleaning rod to get the case out. CCI, no problemo.
