Anyone catch the launch today and landing of 2 of the booster rockets?

Private spaceflight is on it's way. :)

Dear Hubby is an aerospace engineer - I didn't have an option. ;)

Seriously though, it was impressive. Loved the boosters landing, too - that was cool! :)

There's also a great loooooooooooooong video of Starman in the Tesla too...

I hope he doesn't crash... I doubt the air bags will deploy, and AAA is a few decades away from being able to send a tow truck...

I'll be impressed when he beats NASA to Mars. NASA is spreading the technology into a lot of different tasks rather than going to the Moon and beyond. I would like to see a working colony on the Moon but saying it is a necessary step to Mars is a lie that is hard for me to accept. We should have been to the moon decades ago and should be planning a trip to the stars by now. All this talk about the dangers and how hard it is just belies the lack of desire for an uneducated populous. The late head of the "Skunk Works" said, before he died, that we had the technology to take ET home. He added that you could think it or dream it we have already done it or decided it wasn't worth doing. If we really have that technology let's put it to use!
